Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines prohibited uses of TruthVouch. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

1. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use TruthVouch to:

1.1 Illegal Activities

  • Violate any local, state, or federal law
  • Engage in fraud, deception, or forgery
  • Facilitate illegal transactions or services
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code

1.2 Security Violations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to TruthVouch systems
  • Test security vulnerabilities (use responsible disclosure instead)
  • Use tools to scan or probe our systems
  • Interfere with system operation or access controls

1.3 Data & Privacy Violations

  • Access other customers’ data without authorization
  • Misuse personal information or PII
  • Engage in surveillance without consent
  • Violate GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws

1.4 Abuse

  • Use TruthVouch to harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Spread misinformation or disinformation intentionally
  • Engage in targeted harassment campaigns
  • Post hate speech, discrimination, or bigotry

1.5 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Upload copyrighted content you don’t own
  • Use TruthVouch to circumvent DRM or access controls
  • Violate trademarks or brand rights
  • Facilitate piracy or unauthorized distribution

1.6 Competitive Abuse

  • Use TruthVouch to gain unfair competitive advantage
  • Reverse-engineer TruthVouch algorithms or models
  • Resell TruthVouch access without authorization
  • Use TruthVouch to monitor or copy competitors illegally

1.7 System Abuse

  • Create excessive load on TruthVouch systems
  • Use automated scripts to scrape or extract data
  • Attempt to overload or disable systems (DoS attacks)
  • Bypass rate limits or access controls

1.8 Regulatory Violations

  • Violate HIPAA (healthcare data) protections
  • Violate financial services regulations
  • Handle payment card data improperly
  • Violate sanctions or export control regulations

2. AI-Specific Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use TruthVouch to:

2.1 Autonomous Harm

  • Automate generation of disinformation at scale
  • Create deepfakes or synthetic media for deception
  • Automate targeted harassment or abuse
  • Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

2.2 Privacy Intrusions

  • Use TruthVouch to identify individuals from photos without consent
  • Build surveillance systems without legal basis
  • Create profiles for discrimination or targeting
  • Track or locate individuals without consent

2.3 Unfair Discrimination

  • Use TruthVouch to discriminate in hiring, lending, housing, or services
  • Create biased AI systems that harm protected classes
  • Use AI to redline or deny services based on protected characteristics

3. Content Restrictions

You agree not to upload to TruthVouch:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Instructions for creating weapons or explosives
  • Illegal content

4. Enforcement

4.1 Monitoring

TruthVouch monitors for AUP violations through:

  • Automated systems (pattern detection)
  • User reports
  • Security team investigation
  • Third-party services

4.2 Consequences

Violations may result in:

  • Warning or notice
  • Temporary account suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Report to law enforcement (for illegal activities)
  • Legal action to recover damages

4.3 Due Process

Before termination, we typically provide:

  • Notice of alleged violation
  • Opportunity to respond or correct behavior
  • Reasonable timeframe to remedy (unless urgent safety concern)

5. Reporting Violations

If you observe AUP violations:

  1. Email abuse@truthvouch.com with details
  2. Include username, date, and description
  3. We’ll investigate and respond within 5 business days

6. Disclaimers

  • TruthVouch may investigate violations but is not obligated to do so
  • Lack of monitoring does not waive our right to enforce this AUP
  • This AUP is not exhaustive; other conduct may also be prohibited

7. Updates

We may update this AUP anytime. Changes effective upon posting. Continued use means acceptance.
